Trailing Leaf is an independent website about pothos and the houseplants grown alongside them. Our goal is simple: explain plant care in plain English, so you know what your plant needs and what its leaves are telling you.

What we cover

Care basics: light, watering, soil, feeding and temperature.
Problems: yellow, brown, drooping or spotted leaves, pests and root rot.
Growing more: propagation, repotting and popular pothos varieties.

How we write our guides

Guides are written by the Trailing Leaf editorial team using published horticulture references, such as university extension services and botanical gardens, and pet-safety information from the ASPCA.
